For software testing engineers who have certain basic knowledge, such as the test personnel, test management staff, quality control personnel (QA/QC), software developers, IT sector workers, those who interested in software testing and students in relevant majors who possess basic knowledgein software testing.The objectives for the Certified Tester Foundation Level qualification are to: prepare candidates for the Foundation Certificate in Software Testing based on the ISTQB® syllabus; improve understanding of software testing - its purpose and nature - and to raise awareness of issues and constraints around testing; learn standard terminology; introduce test techniques (static, white&black box) to delegates as well as providing practical experience of key techniques; provide a complete picture of the test processes from requirements review to system implementation; provide delegates with an environment that supports their learning and impart them with the necessary confidence and means to support their future career as a test professional.

For testers who have a minimum of 3 years testing experience, including software testers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, Test Manager, testers in user acceptance, as well as software developers. It’s also suitable for people who want further understanding software testing, such as QA Manager, software development manager, project manager, business analyst, IT Director and management consultant. People who intend to participate the AL should hold the ISTQB® Foundation level certificate. The objectives for the Certified Tester Adcanced Level qualification are to: gain recognition for testing as an essential and professional software engineering specialization; provide a standard framwork for the development of testers' careers; enable professionally qualified testers to be recognized by employers, customers and peers, and to raise the profiles of testers and testing; promote consistent and good testing practices within all software engineering disciplines; identify testing topics that are relevant and of value to industry; enable software suppliers to hire certified testers and thereby gain commercial advantage over their competitors by advertising their tester recruitment policy; provide an opportynity for testers and those with an interest in testing to acquire an internationgally recognized qualification in the subject.
