The 5th CSTQB International Software Testing Forum has successfully held on September 13th in Jinling Convention Center，Nanjing International Expo Centre, which was organized by CSTQB and Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, co-organized by NQI and China (Nanjing) Software Valley.
Near 400 companies, government and high school representatives from home and abroad took part in the great event; most of them come from manufacturing, IT, finance, automobile, aviation, telecommunications, energy, transportation, military and other fields. Dozens of Media reported the forum, such as: people.cn, ifeng.com, focus.cn, chinanews.com, longhoo.net, njdaily.cn etc.
As a great event of the software testing industry, the forum kept the positioning of Internationalization, strategy, industrialization, and also focus on software testing and quality guarantee, the fusion of industrialization and informationization, the support of high-end equipment manufacturing and smart city as well as strategic emerging industries, assembled the cutting-edge technologies and hot topics. It provided an influential communication interactive platform for the software testing academics and industry.
The forum focus on the communication of software testing technology and practical application, invited Mr. Martin Pol (the Founder of TPI and TMap), software testing master Mr. Jon D Hager from America, test automation expert Mr. Itai Agmon from Israel, elites from international renowned enterprises such as HP, IBM, Alipay etc, to share the forefront of software testing dynamic with industry peers.
5 venues with 10 workshop topics were arranged in the afternoon, Which provided diversified topics to satisfy the various demands from different testing fields. Some of the workshop topics primarily included: The Impact of ISO29119 Software Testing Standard in the World, Society based testing, Software Testing Project Metrics and Forecasting Analysis in Big Data Era, "ThreadingTest" – The ice breaking trip of software developer and testers, Layer of the Android/iOS App Testing Pyramid and so on.
“With the rapid development of the domestic software industry, as well as the ever-increasing attention and input of the software quality, software testing has been becoming the key to core competence for software enterprises. The software production has a fast development, but the qualified talent has long been in scarce. Training organizations and institutes software testing standards has not reached an agreement, and also the software testing practitioner’s skill level is uneven.” the chief representative of CSTQB, the dean of software academy of Tongji University, professor Liu said, “So, the priority now is to set software testing norms and standards early, plan the talented person's train way and train goal properly and in detail, fuse the domestic and foreign training system, and make up for shortcomings constantly, learn from the international’s latest testing technology and advanced ideas.
Mr. Jin Daoqiang, deputy Secretary of Nanjing municipality attended the forum, and offered welcoming address. He said, “Nanjing municipal government and council all attach great importance to improve the overall quality of software, take software quality assurance as an important support for giving impetus to software industrial transformation and upgrading, strengthen foreign cooperation and exchange, and carry on software assurance system actively. And while we focus on software development, we should obey a certain international criterion and procedure, improve the capacity for independent innovation and software quality assurance, develop a new software quality assurance system with government guidance, multilateral participation and effective regulation.
CSTQB successfully gained the qualification to host the “ISTQB General Assembly 2015” in the ” ISTQB General Assembly 2013” hold in Finland in August. Then software industry experts from 49 ISTQB member boards and more than 100 countries and regions will gather in China for the great event. It is not only a good opportunity for experts and elite from home and aboard to exchange ideas and share experiences, but also a great opportunity for China to show its software industry development. International professionals and experts can have direct contact with China, and experience its software industry’s real development and tremendous potential. It can further improve the competitiveness of Chinese software and information service industries, and extend Chinese software’s international influence. What a great event it would be!
