The
ISTQB was officially founded as an International software Testing Board
in Edinburgh in November, 2002.It is the ISTQB’s role to support a unique,
authoritative, universally accepted, international qualification scheme, under
the brand name “ISTQB Certified Tester”, aimed at software and system testing
professionals, by providing the core syllabus and by setting guideline for
accreditation and examination for national boards.
Now, the ISTQB has more than 40 members including America,
Germany, France, Japan, etc. China became one of them in the 2006 ISTQB Annual
Conference in May 2006.
The CSTQB (Chinese Software testing Qualification
Board) was founded by
Tongji University, China Software Testing Centre, Shanghai Software
Testing Centre, SEPREI Certification Centre and Shanghai imbus Information
Technology Co.,Ltd, aimed at extending the ISTQB qualification scheme and the
certification system in China, establishing a brand new ,internationally
accepted regulation in the testing area.
